American Council on Education (ACE) now recommends 44 credits for the GAC program
May 2016: The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®) has evaluated and recommended college credit for 15 of ACT Education Solutions’ modules from the GAC program. Founded in 1918, ACE is the major coordinating body for all the nation’s higher education institutions, representing more than 1,600 college and university presidents and more than 200 related associations nationwide. From May 2016, fourteen modules have been recommended for three semester credits each at undergraduate level, and one for two semester credits.
Two additional modules have been awarded three credit points each: GAC008, Academic English II: Reading and Writing Skills and GAC024, Discrete Mathematics.
The American Council on Education’s previous credit recommendation in 2012 was for 39 credit points for 13 modules of the GAC program.
