YUNNAN: Ms Jingyan Guo from Kunming Foreign Language School GAC Center has been offered six US university places, with scholarships ranging from US$2,000 to a massive $US74,000.
Jinyang, with an excellent GPA of 3.6, received the largest scholarship offer from Earlham College, the 75th ranked liberal arts college in the US (according to US News). She also received impressive scholarship offers of $56,000 from Hobart and William Smith (the 67th ranked liberal arts college in the US, according to US News), and $58,000 from Drexel University (the 86th ranked US university), plus $2,000 from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (ranked the 64th university in the US by US News). With so many options on offer, Jingyan has chosen to go to Colby-Sawyer College, the 25th ranked regional college (northern USA) where she is studying Math.
