The start of the 2008 academic year has been by far the most exciting for the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) in China with nearly 30 GAC Approved Teaching Centers preparing to commence classes in the coming weeks.
"This is certainly the most exciting build-up to the start of a year that we have ever had in China," said the ACT Education Solutions Limited China manager, Andrew Todd. "We have 18 schools that have either enrolled students or started teaching already and they will be joined by more as the year progresses."
"The continuing growth of the program is a reflection of the hard work that the centers and our staff have put in over the last few years. In conjunction with this, the success stories of GAC graduates from the schools in China studying at universities in the U.S., Australia, Canada and the UK has filtered back here and is having a major impact on the demand for our program."
The Open Doors 2006 report confirmed that with over 62,550 students studying in the U.S. right now, China holds its place as the number two provider of international students.
"The GAC provides many pathway opportunities for students to continue their studies in the U.S.," said Todd. "Our experience is that the GAC students are becoming more aware of the diverse range of universities and colleges in America and other countries, that are very keen to have them study at their institution."
