ACT's Continuing Expansion in Indonesia

22 January 2008

The expansion of the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) in Indonesia continues with new teaching centers signed in the last few months.

The first school to teach the GAC in Indonesia—Madania International, located two hours out of Jakarta in Bogor—has been joined in recent months by six new schools. Sekolah Tunas Muda, Raffles International Christian School, YPPA Petra Alpha, Sekolah Mahanaim Bekasi Indonesia, and Sekolah Lentera Kashi are all located in Jakarta, and Sekolah Kristen Terang Bangsa is located in Semarang.

ACT's sales manager for South East Asia, Antony Choi, remarked that the growth reflects the increasing demand from quality schools in Indonesia for a program that provides a global perspective and pathway for students while maintaining the core Indonesian curriculum that is vital for students' futures.

"The feedback that I often receive from the schools is that the GAC's quality and flexibility stands out amongst the international programs available and delivers on the individual needs that they have," said Choi.

Adding to the GAC, ACT launched its English Language Programs in Indonesia at an event held in Jakarta on January 16th.

ACT's English Language Programs are targeted at students from Years 7 through to 12. The programs enable schools to select the specific levels that are appropriate to their students' English capabilities and the objectives of each institution. In keeping with ACT's unique customer service model, the English Language Programs come with the full academic and operational support that schools so keenly seek.
